The M4 CSL is the fastest M4 ever made to date. The combination of agility, raw muscle, and road-gripping precision make this car stand out from the masses. With only 1,000 examples worldwide its a rare sight to behold.
A little bit about the 2023 CSL:
Shaving 240lbs off the car, the M4 CSL weighs only 3,580 lbs. The car comes with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires from the factory. Other visible changes are the ducktail spoiler, deep front splitter, exposed carbon fiber, and CSL badging throughout the car. The car also had the rear seats removed and the front seats replaced by carbon-fiber bucket seats that are only adjustable forward or backward. As far as angle or height it can only be adjusted with an Allen wrench where you must unscrew and reinstall the seats. The car has 40 more horsepower than the competition version, how making 543-horsepower from a twin turbo 3.0 inline-six.
The owner of this G82 M4 CSL desperately wanted to protect his rare, limited edition BMW with Paint Protection Film. He mentioned that although he would not be driving the car much, he still wants the peace of mind knowing that his new addition would be protected no matter what the situation. He also wanted to take it to the track in the near future and knew that PPF was a necessity. We obliged and installed XPEL Stealth Paint Protection Film on the whole vehicle. At First Class Autosports in Miami, Florida we also had a Papaya Individual M3 Manual with a story of its own. The owner, a diehard manual enthusiast, wanted his G80 M3 with a Manual transmission, no questions asked. Similarly to the previous owner, this owner wanted to protect this special order M3 with XPEL Clear Paint Protection Film per our recommendation. This clear PPF is created with gloss paint finishes in mind unlike the Stealth PPF.
He had to opt for a base M3 because they don't offer the Manual transmission in the competition models. Still wanting a special M3, he optioned it with one of BMW's individual colors, Fire Orange and then proceeded to select tons of options on the car.
Competition wheels, a custom interior and other options make this a fully loaded base model - not something you see everyday. At the end of the day, a little engine work and some tuning and that base model M3 will be making considerably more power than both the competition version and the CSL so did he really miss out? S58 power baby.
The M4 CSL feels lighter, more powerful and sharper. Even though it only makes 40 more horsepower, it feels like it has way more "GO" than the competition. When comparing the two, the differences are clear however are those differences worth the additional $40,000+ for the CSL version? Only time will tell.
