At First Class Autosports, we recently had the pleasure of working different R1 Rivian trucks. This electric truck is a real beauty, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to give it a makeover with a brand new wrap and color change. In this post, we'll walk you through the process we used to transform this Rivian from a sleek green color to a bright gloss orange vinyl wrap, as well as some of the other detailing work we did to make this truck shine.

The Rivian R1T Truck is an impressive vehicle that combines advanced technology with rugged capability. It features a range of up to 400 miles on a single charge, can tow up to 11,000 pounds, and has a unique "tank turn" feature that allows it to pivot on the spot by spinning its wheels in opposite directions. Additionally, the Rivian Truck has received rave reviews for its off-road performance, thanks to its adjustable air suspension, four-motor electric drivetrain, and skid plates to protect its undercarriage.
But the R1T isn't just about performance and capability - it also features a sleek and modern design that sets it apart from other pickup trucks on the market. The vehicle has a distinctive front-end design that includes a light bar that runs across the top of the grille, giving it a futuristic and high-tech look.

When working on a vehicle like the Rivian R1T, it's important to use high-quality materials and work with experienced installers to ensure that the wrap job is done correctly. At First Class Autosports, we use top-of-the-line vinyl films and have a team of trained professionals who have years of experience wrapping vehicles of all types.

The process of wrapping the truck is similar to wrapping any other vehicle, but there are a few unique challenges to keep in mind. We started by thoroughly cleaning the truck to ensure that the wrap would adhere properly.
Next, we carefully measured and cut the wrap material to fit the truck's unique contours The R1T has a lot of curves and angles on its body, which means that the vinyl film needs to be carefully trimmed and fitted to ensure a seamless, professional finish.
Additionally, the R1T has a lot of high-tech features, such as cameras and sensors, that need to be carefully worked around during the wrapping process to avoid damaging them.
The application process was a bit tricky, as the wrap had to be precisely positioned and smoothed out to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles. If by any chance a part of the truck didn’t look the way we wanted, we remove and reinstalled it to make it look the best way possible after all we are humans. However, with our team's years of experience, we were able to get it done perfectly and in no time.
Of course, the wrap was not only one part of the job we did on this truck. We also did a full detailing, including a thorough cleaning of the interior and exterior, as well as a paint correction to remove any scratches or cosmetic damage on the original green paint. We also applied a protective coating to the truck's new wrap to help it stay looking great for years to come.

Working on this Rivian R1T truck was a real highlight for our team. We love the challenge of wrapping and color changing vehicles, and this project was no exception.
