The Rivian platform is known for its outdoorsy attitude. Created with off-roading and overlanding in mind, Rivians have exceptional off-road and on-road capabilities. Many owners purchase them over the competition with this in mind. They plan on partaking in road trips or going camping with the car. So what is the best way to enjoy your new car but also protect your investment? Paint protection film is the answer. There are a lot of colors available for the Rivian platform however the owner of this R1S wanted something unique.
We installed a Stealth Paint Protection Film package to his R1S changing the finish of the paint from gloss to satin. His R1S is black so the result is a satin black look. Achievable with a Vinyl Wrap however the wrap would not protect the car from rock chips or deeper scratches while Paint Protection Film will protect it and maintain its self healing properties.
We blacked out all of the aluminum trim as well as all of the yellow accented badging throughout the vehicle (and there is a lot of badging on these Rivians). The owner decided he wanted to black out the majority of the car apart from the brake calipers.
Additionally we Window Tinted the whole vehicle with varying shades of film. As always, we used ceramic window tint film for the installation, allowing for greater visibility from the inside of the vehicle, UV protection and infrared protection. On the sides and rear we installed 20% tint and on the windshield we installed 50% tint.
Other changes we made include removing some emblems such as the R1S emblem to make the car sleeker. We also installed tinted film on the tail lights to make the rear of the vehicle uniform and fully blacked out.
