CLASSIC CAR PAINT RESTORATION & PROTECTION IN SOUTH MIAMI
With a classic, everything starts with the paint. Original or older single-stage and lacquer finishes are thin, soft and often decades old, so restoring them takes patience, not a heavy compound. At First Class Autosports in South Miami we've been doing this since 2011: we inspect every panel, take paint-depth readings and correct the paint step by step, removing only what the finish can safely give up.
The goal is to bring back the depth and clarity the car had, while keeping as much original paint as possible. Some panels need a careful multi-step correction, others only a light refinement polish. We decide panel by panel, because on a classic a mistake can't be undone.
Once the paint is restored, we protect it one of two ways. A ceramic coating like Ceramic Pro locks in the gloss, adds UV resistance against the Miami sun and makes the car easier to keep clean. For cars that get driven, a full PPF adds a physical layer against rock chips and scratches. There are no pre-cut kits for most classics, so every film is custom: patterns are made for the car and hand-tailored off the panel, and the film can come off cleanly later.
Every car is treated as a one-off, from the 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, 1958 Jaguar XK150 and 1964 Porsche 356 to the 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL, 1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, Ferrari 348 and F355, Porsche 993 and the Mercedes-Benz 560 SL. Call 786-268-7501 or visit us at 5820 Commerce Lane, South Miami.

CLASSIC CAR PAINT FAQ
Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
How do you restore and correct paint on a classic car?
We start with an inspection and paint-depth readings on every panel, then correct step by step, removing only what the paint can safely give up. On thin original or single-stage paint we often choose a refinement polish over heavy compounding.
Is paint correction safe on original or single-stage paint?
Yes, when it's done carefully. We work panel by panel, check readings as we go and stop when the finish tells us to. Keeping original paint always comes first.
Should I choose a ceramic coating or full PPF for my classic?
A ceramic coating adds gloss, UV protection and easier cleaning, and suits cars that are shown or garaged. Full PPF adds a physical layer against rock chips and scratches for cars that get driven. Both go on after correction, and neither changes the car's original paint.
Do you have PPF kits for classic cars?
For most classics no pre-cut kits exist, so every PPF install is custom. Patterns are made for the car and hand-tailored off the panel, so no blades touch the paint, and the film can be removed cleanly later.
Can you prepare my car for a concours or show?
Yes. We offer pre-show paint correction, coatings and detailing for concours, Cars & Coffee and auctions.
Do you work on modern classics like the Carrera GT, Z8 or Ford GT?
Yes. We protect early-2000s collector cars with paint correction, full PPF, Ceramic Pro and custom wraps.
