MOMO Porsche at the 24 Hours of Daytona

This Porsche 991 GT America ran the 24 Hours of Daytona in full MOMO race livery. Number 30, GTD class. We built the wrap from scratch in the shop: vinyl graphics first, then matte PPF over the design so track miles didn't eat the artwork.

What we did

Full race livery installed here. MOMO yellow, red and black across the body, wing, and hood, with the team and sponsor package laid out for GTD. Under the film you see on the car is vinyl. Over that vinyl is matte PPF. Two layers with different jobs.

Why matte PPF over the graphics

A 24-hour race is rubber, grit, and wash cycles that would destroy exposed vinyl. The matte PPF takes the hits so the design stays sharp through practice, the race, and the photos. Same idea as clear PPF on a street car, applied so the livery itself is the thing being protected.

Race wrap work like this

Multi-panel graphics have to line up door to fender to wing, or the car looks wrong at speed. Installing vinyl and then a full matte PPF layer on top means every panel has to sit clean twice. That's the job.

Thinking about a race or show livery that needs to last?
