This Lucid Air Grand Touring received a full XPEL Prime XR Plus Ceramic Window Tint Film Installation to reduce the notorious hot temperatures that haunt Lucid Air owners in South Florida.
The owner wanted the most heat rejection possible so we installed the tints on the sides, rear glass, full front windshield and roof glass of this Lucid Air.
We installed the front windshield in one full piece which is a very challenging install. The size of the windshield is similar to a Tesla Model X. Both being the largest front windshields on the market after the one and only Tesla Cyber Truck
The temperature difference is apparent almost immediately allowing to prevent the loss of range from the electric battery to drop by an estimated 10% to 5% on hot days compared to a non tinted electric vehicle.
We have measured peak temperatures of 135 degrees in the cabin while parked under the sun in Miami Summer (90 degrees) with no tint
After the ceramic full tint package was installed, cabin temperature dropped to 110 degrees, still very hot but you cannot expect any tint to cool down a parked vehicle with large glass panels
