Electric cars benefit from having a smaller contact patch to the road because this decreases friction and in turn increases the range and efficiency of the vehicle. Car's measured by the government on 21 inch wheels compared to 19 inch wheels consistently have less range than their 19inch counterpart (or smaller).
The New Aero offers a 19" version of their wheel, primarily made for Tesla, that fits the Lucid. Here at My Lucid Miami we did extensive testing with the OEM spec tires, keeping them the same as factory. We performed fitment testing on our Lucid Air Grand Touring to ensure the fitment, and ease of use of the product.
The New Aero Lucid Air 19" Wheels weight similar to the OEM Lucid 19" wheels and are directional so there is a left and right set. This directional technology was developed to move air faster through the wheel thus increasing aerodynamics. The New Aero Lucid Air 21" wheels fit the size of the car better but are less efficient than the 19's. This difference is very noticeable so if you are willing to sacrifice a more appealing fitment for longer range, The New Aero Lucid Air 19" wheels are the way to go.
